Light Sphere II

Just picked up a Gary Fong Light Sphere II C1 Cloud Flash Difuser. The picture above was taken in darkness. This thing really makes the shot pop, the shadows are subtle and the reflected light is very soft.

Seeing as today is Halloween I should be able to put this to use soon..

Joe the fireproofing Guru

Early in the morning I snapped this shot of Joe, the inspector that is doing the fireproofing on the project. Don't let the light fool you it is really dark out and I have the lens cranked open to a gaping F1.8, 1/15th of a second exposure time threw a focal length equivalent to 75mm. I did pick up some nasty little reflections of the street lights in the back ground just over his right shoulder but I think that is off of a cheap UV filter that I didn't take off..

October 9 and the welding continues

Still going strong, the welding should be done in a couple of weeks, but the production welding should be done some time early next week... I am back to working eight hour days so I am able to have a life once more... yippie..

It is funny to look at the people in the pictures and see the looks on there faces as I rattle off pictures with the Nikon, some of them honestly look shocked. Funny I was approached to shoot product shots and to shoot portraiture of a dubious nature by other people at the show.
